DC.Description.abstract | The Maxwell method is applied to calculate effective elastic constants of matrix composite materials containing a random set of anisotropic ellipsoidal inclusions. It is shown that the method allows derivation of analytical equations for effective elastic constants that coincide with the equations obtained by the Mori-Tanaka method and other self-consistent methods known in literature. |
